On May 15, 2017 I received an email with the subject "Exciting Opportunity for UTeach Grads" informing me that UTeach was bringing the Maker Movement to education, and I was invited to apply to this program. I researched what the Maker Movement was, and to be honest, there is not a lot about it out there. Eventually, I decided "why not?" there was no reason not to, and it would further my education as a teacher. I received so much support from UTeach while I was in the program (and even as a new teacher), that I knew I would receive the same kind of support in this program. UTeach Maker is giving me the opportunity to bring making not only to education, but to math as well. I started the program at the beginning of Fall 2017 and I finished it Spring 2018. This section of my blog will host my Maker Portfolio.
